April 89 run in Irvine CA. Moved to Honolulu at the end of the year - talk about withdrawal. I did get to see Jerry at the Waikiki Shell in May '90. He looked great - had on black aloha shirt. I thought maybe he was going to make it after all.

With you on this one whirlwind. Was a sad show to realize it was over but it actually had some magic in the parking lot that I had been missing in most of the previous shows of the last few years. I think it must have been the communal realization that it was really going to be over after that show for a lot of us, hitting home hard.

1-18-79. Unfortunately a lackluster performance by the band. I lost interest after that and still don't listen to anything beyond 1979. (And very little after 1977.)

04-05-1995 - Jefferson Civic Center Coliseum - Birmingham, AL. Still really like Here Comes Sunshine from that show.

Happy Thanksgiving All.

That must of been different CP. If this forum is any indication how jerry felt no wonder he said "Fuck'um All"
I respect you for even witnessing a show in 1995

It was either 10/5 or 10/6 94 in Philly.

Very sad shows indeed. Jerry was in bad way. Had no desire to see them in spring '95 when they came thru Philly. Missed the Unbroken Chain breakout, but apparently not much else.

Last show I saw was 7/2/95. The infamous gate crashing show. It was, as has been well documented, an utter fiasco. For me personally as well. No I was not a lowly gate crasher, actually had fine seats about 20 rows back dead center. I was however, escorted from my seat by one of the thousands of security guards, who didn't tolerate the "kindness" being inhaled. I tried to scamper away, but to no avail. So the final words I saw Jerry utter were "One way or another, This darkness got to give." I did hear the Attics>Sugar Mag, Quinn from the lot. I do recall making a conscious decision, that it was time for me to get off the bus. I was relieved, at the time, that the next night was cancelled. But man, what I would do now for just one more show... Man I miss Jerry...

Last GD show was Halloween 1990 in London. Last Jerry show was a couple of months earlier in SF. I moved to Europe a couple of weeks before their European tour - never to return :-( !

We had a blast and ended up crashing in a dorm at a boys private school at Regents Park. Headed to Amsterdam the next day. If I had only known then that I would never see Jerry again ....

My last show was Deer Creek 1995. No luck finding a ticket, but my wife was persistant at the box office and the guy finally yelled "$32.50" at her and in we went. We had the kids with us and headed back east after that dreadful scene.

The last show that I attended was 3/29/90.

I attended the show alone! After waiting for one of my employees who was supposed to join me but couldnt get off work, I arrived at the coliseum late and after futilely trying to sell my spare ticket, ended up gifting it to a patchouli chick when I heard the Jack Straw opener from outside the arena. If I had know they would break out Dark Star, I woud have asked for a blowjob...

Life's a lottery, Cliff. If I'd gone to the November 1 show at Wembley rather than Hallowe'en I'd have caught the last ever European Dark Star. Got to admit I think about that sometimes.

Why do I think that's bull shit, cliff. 1990 was a great tour, but you whine immensely about any show pass 1969. Was it the stain on your peddle pushers ?

is this your archived material @ net with phil posing with your Leshbian love letter.
